Chantelle Cameron brings the pressure, gets the WBO super welterweight title

Chantelle Cameron entered the world of martial arts at the age of 10, eventually becoming a full-time boxer by the age of 18 and becoming perhaps the greatest British women’s boxer to not be an Olympic athlete. Britain’s only female undisputed champion, she defeated Jessica McCaskill to earn that claim at 140 pounds in 2022. After losing the championships to Katie Taylor, the sole loss in her career, Cameron became WBC interim super lightweight champion by defeating  Elhem Mekhaled. She made two successful defenses against Patricia Berghult and Jessica Camara.

Michaela Kotaskova was an amateur for 11 years before turning pro in 2022, currently holding an 11-0-2 record. She has won nine in a row and enters this bout off a decision win over Neslikhan Mollaoglu last July. This marks Kotaskova’s first shot at a major world boxing championship, and a win would make her Austria’s first professional boxing world champion.
