MVPW-05 Live Results: Johnson vs. Thorslund, Round by Round

Posted on August 8, 2026 by MVP Team

The Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando hosted a night of championship boxing at MVPW 05, headlined by Dina Thorslund taking every belt from Cherneka Johnson with a 100-90 sweep to become undisputed bantamweight world champion. The co-main delivered a second changing of the guard, as two-time Olympian Tamm Thibeault shut out Desley Robinson to claim the IBF, WBO and Ring middleweight titles in only her fifth professional fight. Amanda Galle bounced back from her lone career loss by closing the distance on former IBF champion Shurretta Metcalf for a clear decision at 115 pounds, while Krystal Rosado opened the main card with a shutout of Alondra Hernandez. The prelims kept the perfect records coming: Jan Paul Rivera moved to 16-0 over veteran Ruben Garcia, Dainier Pero broke Aleem Whitfield down to the body and retained his WBA Continental USA heavyweight title in three rounds, Sa’rai Brown-El came through a bruising six-rounder with Sheyla Moreno, and Angelo Hernandez and Sebastian Juarez both stayed unbeaten on the cards. Jadden Addison needed just one round again, stopping Dionne Ruvalcaba at 2:27 to open a memorable night in Orlando.
