Desley Robinson now holds three pieces of gold at middleweight
Desley Robinson originally turned to boxing to improve her fitness; she has since transitioned that into becoming a world champion in the sport. After falling short in the inaugural IBF women’s light heavyweight title fight, Robinson defeated Kaye Scott in December 2024 to become IBF women’s middleweight champion. She added the WBO title months later with a win over Chloe Chaos, and she retained both belts with a second-round finish of Logan Holler this past October.
Mary Spencer was a multi-sport athlete when she was younger before turning to boxing, winning three gold medals at the World Championships and a Pan-American Games gold medal. She became interim WBA light middleweight champion with a win over Naomi Mannes in September 2024. She then became full champion after Terri Harper relinquished the title, defending it against Ogleidis Suárez in April 2025. Spencer and Mikaela Mayer put their 154-pound titles on the line in a unification bout this past October, with Spencer losing via decision.
