Amanda Serrano makes more history as she defends world titles with second-round stoppage win
When you discuss the greatest women to ever grace the sport of boxing, the name of Amanda Serrano will have to be toward the top, if not at the very top, of that list. The history that she has made has included winning nine world championships across seven weight classes, becoming Puerto Rico’s only boxer to win titles in more than four weight classes, and becoming the first undisputed world champion of boxing’s four-belt era from Puerto Rico. In Serrano’s most recent fight, she rebounded from her losses to Katie Taylor by scoring a one-sided decision over Reina Tellez to retain the WBA, WBO, and The Ring featherweight championships.
Cheyenne Hanson was a former multiple-time kickboxing world champion before joining the world of professional boxing in 2018. She comes into tonight’s bout on a solid nine-fight winning streak. Hanson most recently fought in March, earning a sixth-round stoppage win over Flor Rodriguez.
