MVPW 04: Oshae Jones Retains Title in Split Draw with Carranza
Oshae Jones and Elia Carranza compete in tonight’s IBF and IBO super welterweight championship main event. The two fought this past July, with Jones earning a narrow split decision victory.
Known for her footwork and fight IQ, Jones had a successful amateur career, picking up an Olympic bronze medal, a Pan-American Games gold medal, and several youth titles. Jones picked up the IBF and IBO titles with a November 2024 win over Femke Hermans.
Carranza is a former regional champion who enters this fight ranked No. 7 in the WBA at super welterweight. The loss to Jones was just the second in her 13-fight career – and now she seeks revenge and gold.
