Irma Garcia brings power to retain her IBF title
Irma Garcia got a late start to boxing, but she has been a proven warrior in the ring, earning championships in two different weight classes. Garcia was originally a WBA bantamweight champion, winning the belt in January 2013 and making four defenses before vacating the title in 2015. Ten years after her first title win, Garcia became IBF super flyweight champion by defeating Stephanie Silva in November 2023. She has since made one successful defense, defeating Gloria Gallardo in December 2024, as well as a win over Maria Guadalupe Martinez in a June 2025 non-title bout.
Emma Dolan has quickly risen through the ranks to make history as the first-ever Commonwealth and British female super-flyweight champion. Dolan, who has been training since the age of 9, has shown how much of a student of the game she is, coming into this contest with an 8-0 record. She last fought in April 2025, defending the British and Commonwealth titles against Lauren Parker.

Right hand by Dolan. Both land as they clinch up before being separated by the ref. Dolan warned for hitting to the back of the head. Dolan landing a combination. Garcia landing lefts. Right hand by Dolan. Left hands by Dolan. Left hand by Garcia hits flush! Dolan goes down! She gets up, but two more punches puts Dolan down! She’s up, but she’s clearly hurt! Garcia comes forward and lands a major flurry, but Dolan survives the round!
ROUND 3
Dolan coming forward to try and re-establish control. Garcia is ready, however, flashing her power again. Combination by Dolan. Garcia lands again, and Dolan is down again! She’s up, but Dolan’s team is on the ring apron. Dolan looks to fight fire with fire now. Garcia cracks Dolan again with a left, wobbling her on the ropes, and that’s it! The towel is in!
